This study presents a versatile approach to harnessing miscible aqueous domains, enabling liquid‐in‐liquid compartmentalization using a barrier formed in situ rather than bulk immiscibility. The barrier forms upon the complexation of multifunctional nanoparticles and ligands at the contact boundary of aqueous phases.

Nitrile-assistant eutectic electrolytes for cryogenic operation of lithium ion batteries at fast charges and discharges [PDF]
The charge/discharge characteristics of lithium ion batteries at low temperature (LT = -20 ??C) are enhanced by using ethylene carbonate (EC)-based electrolytes with the help of assistant solvents of nitriles. Conventional liquid electrolytes (e.g.

A diisopropyl ether (DIPE)‐based, localized, high‐concentration electrolyte is developed to stabilize both electrodes in aqueous zinc batteries. By reducing water activity and promoting anion‐rich zinc‐ion solvation, it builds robust interphases at both the cathode and anode, ensuring uniform deposition, suppressed corrosion, and highly reversible ...

Nanoparticle size and production efficiency are affected by the presence of fatty acids during albumin nanoparticle fabrication. [PDF]
We have previously identified extensive glycation, bound fatty acids and increased quantities of protein aggregates in commercially available recombinant HSA (rHSA) expressed in Oryza sativa (Asian rice) (OsrHSA) when compared to rHSA from other ...

Laser induced post-desolvation of MALDI clusters [PDF]
Despite being controversial for many years, it is now widely accepted that the Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization (MALDI) process leads to the ejection of aggregates or clusters in addition to isolated particles and ions. Clusters composed of analyte surrounded by matrix molecules exhibit a distribution in size and are relatively stable ...

Trace amounts of perfluoro‐1‐butanesulfonyl fluoride enables the regulation of the Zn/electrolyte interface by the generated zincophilic ─SO3H groups with long hydrophobic ─CF2 tails, which adsorb strongly onto the Zn surface, displace water molecules from the inner Helmholtz plane, and reconstruct the electrical double‐layer structure.
