FEBS Letters, EarlyView.This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Theoretical Computer Science, 1993 A strings \(z\) is quasiperiodic if there is a string \(w\neq z\) such that \(z\) is completely by (possibly overlapping) occurrences of \(w\) in \(z\). In this situation \(w\) is called a quasiperiod of \(z\). If \(z\) is quasiperiodic, then its shortest quasiperiod \(w\) is uniquely determined and is referred to as the quasiperiod of \(z\).
