Abstract figure legend Thyroid antibody positivity (TAb+) in pregnancy is associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes, but the mechanisms are unclear. This study developed a rodent model of TAb+ in pregnancy, induced prior to mating so that TAb+ exposure occurred throughout the pregnancy. TAb+ did not alter thyroid hormone concentrations and had minimal

Applications of deuterium oxide in human health
Isotopes in Environmental and Health Studies, 2017The main aim goal of this review was to gather information about recent publications related to deuterium oxide (D2O), and its use as a scientific tool related to human health. Searches were made in electronic databases Pubmed, Scielo, Lilacs, Medline and Cochrane.

Taste responses to deuterium oxide
Physiology & Behavior, 1979Substitution of deuterium oxide (D2O) as the solvent in taste stimuli elicits neural responses which differ from ordinary water (H2O). Previous reports have shown that D2O is toxic to many animals and rats avoid drinking it when offered H2O simultaneously.

Ionization constants for deuterium oxide in deuterium oxide-organic mixtures
Journal of Solution Chemistry, 1972A potentiometric method using a glass electrode has been applied to determination of ionization constants for deuterium oxide (D2O) in binary mixtures of D2O with dioxane, tetrahydrofuran, acetone, dimethylsulfoxide, CH3CH2OD, and CH3OD at 25°C.
