Two macromolecular resistance‐reversal agents (MRRAs)—linear (MRRAL) and nanostructured (MRRAN) polymers were fabricated by integrating DOTA motifs into tunable polycationic scaffolds. MRRAs exhibit superior antibacterial potency once combined with meropenem (MEM) through (i) bacterial membrane disruption via localized cationic charge and ...

Atomically Precise Clusterzymes: A Programmable Optoelectronic Platform for Neuroscience
Atomically precise clusterzymes, engineered via atomic and ligand design, serve as programmable platforms for neuroscience applications. They demonstrate tailored biocatalysis for neuroinflammation, tunable optical properties for deep‐tissue bioimaging and 3D visualization, and enhanced charge transfer for brain–computer interfaces.

Dihalogenated nitrophenols exposure induces developmental neurotoxicity in zebrafish embryo
2,6-Dihalogenated nitrophenols (2,6-DHNPs) are emerging halogenated nitroaromatic pollutants that have been detected in various water environments. However, there is currently limited research available regarding their potential impacts on locomotion ...

This study reveals that chronic alcohol exposure selectively upregulates ACSL1 expression in prefrontal cortical microglia, driving lipid metabolism reprogramming and lipid droplet accumulation, which activates the NLRP3 inflammasome and sustains neuroinflammation. To reverse this process, a dual‐targeted lipid nanoparticle, siACSL1@LNP‐MR, is designed

The results showed that the reduction of plasma 24‐hydroxycholesterol (24‐OHC) was related to the cognitive decline in elderly surgical patients. Neuroinflammation induced by anesthesia and surgery significantly downregulated SREBP2 in hippocampal reactive astrocytes, resulting in reduced cholesterol synthesis.

Anaesthesia-induced developmental neurotoxicity
Recently, concerns regarding anaesthesia-induced developmental neurotoxicity (AIDN) have emerged. The aim of this review was to summarise the available information on AIDN, and to assist the practising anaesthetist in making safe decisions with regard to the administration of anaesthesia in the young child. Keywords: anaesthesia, paediatrics ...

ABSTRACT Immune homeostasis is indispensable for preserving organismal integrity, orchestrated through complex molecular networks encompassing immune cell dynamics, microbial cues, and epigenetic regulation. Among these, the gut microbiota‐non‐coding RNA (ncRNA) axis has recently garnered substantial attention as a multifaceted modulator of host ...

This study tests NeuroD1 AAV‐based gene therapy in a non‐human primate Alzheimer's disease model. The therapy prevents neuronal damage, inhibits hippocampal atrophy, and reduces neuroinflammation. It also repairs vascular and blood‐brain barrier damage, restores cerebrospinal fluid biomarkers, enhances hippocampal glucose metabolism, and improves ...
