Dextran-sulfate cellulose adsorption for lowering Lp[a]
Chemistry and Physics of Lipids, 1994Dextran sulfate selectively adsorbs lipoproteins that contain apolipoprotein-B100, including those associated with apolipoprotein-a, from human plasma with high affinity. Dextran sulfate immobilized on cellulose is incorporated into the Liposorber LA-15 system (Kaneka Corporation, Osaka, Japan).

Trigger action of dextran sulfate on inactivation of thrombin
Thrombosis Research, 1988Inactivation of thrombin was enhanced by dextran sulfate (DS) coated on polypropylene tubes with plastic adhesive. Long interaction of thrombin with DS was not essential to enhance the enzyme inactivation. Albumin inhibited the inactivation of thrombin by DS-coated tubes, but had no effect after interaction of the enzyme with DS.

Adsorption of dextran and dextran sulfate on precipitated calcium oxalate monohydrate
Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 1984Abstract The adsorption of two dextran sulfates of different molecular masses on calcium oxalate monohydrate precipitates was measured as a function of the concentration of polyelectrolyte, NaCl concentration, and the activity of Ca 2+ ions. It was found that at higher NaCl concentration the plateau adsorption was increased.
