The thermodynamic landscape of carbon redox biochemistry [PDF]
Redox biochemistry plays a key role in the transduction of chemical energy in all living systems. Observed redox reactions in metabolic networks represent only a minuscule fraction of the space of all possible redox reactions.

A novel type of meso-diaminopimelic acid-based peptidoglycan and novel poly(erythritol phosphate) teichoic acids in cell walls of two coryneform isolates from the surface flora of French cooked cheeses [PDF]
The primary structure of the peptidoglycan and the teichoic acids of two coryneform isolates from the surface flora of French cooked cheeses, CNRZ 925 and CNRZ 926, have been determined.

Toxic stress-specific cytoprotective responses regulate learned behavioral decisions in C. elegans
Background Recognition of stress and mobilization of adequate “fight-or-flight” responses is key for survival and health. Previous studies have shown that exposure of Caenorhabditis elegans to pathogens or toxins simultaneously stimulates cellular stress
