Shape‐Reconfigurable Crack‐Based Strain Sensor with Ultrahigh and Tunable Sensitivity
A highly sensitive crack‐based sensor with tunable strain detection capabilities is demonstrated through controlled nanocrack formation in a line‐patterned shape memory polymer substrate. The sensor design integrates thermoplastic polyurethane and poly(lactic acid), enabling thermo‐responsive reconfiguration of crack geometry.

Fluid-structure interaction simulation of prosthetic aortic valves : comparison between immersed boundary and arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian techniques for the mesh representation [PDF]
In recent years the role of FSI (fluid-structure interaction) simulations in the analysis of the fluid-mechanics of heart valves is becoming more and more important, being able to capture the interaction between the blood and both the surrounding ...

A local optimal diastolic inequality on the two-sphere [PDF]
Using a ramified cover of the two-sphere by the torus, we prove a local optimal inequality between the diastole and the area on the two-sphere near a singular metric. This singular metric, made of two equilateral triangles glued along their boundary, has been conjectured by E.

Phase shifts of synchronized oscillators and the systolic/diastolic blood pressure relation [PDF]
We study the phase-synchronization properties of systolic and diastolic arterial pressure in healthy subjects. We find that delays in the oscillatory components of the time series depend on the frequency bands that are considered, in particular we find a change of sign in the phase shift going from the Very Low Frequency band to the High Frequency band.

Echocardiography video synthesis from end diastolic semantic map via diffusion model [PDF]
Denoising Diffusion Probabilistic Models (DDPMs) have demonstrated significant achievements in various image and video generation tasks, including the domain of medical imaging. However, generating echocardiography videos based on semantic anatomical information remains an unexplored area of research.

A novel low‐bandgap random terpolymer is designed for narrow band detection in charge collection narrowing (CCN) based organic photodetectors. With a relative thin active layer (<1 µm), the CCN‐based devices achieved a narrowband response of 68 nm full‐width‐at‐half‐maximum at 916 nm, together with Responsivity values of 0.13 A W−1 and dark current of ...

Light‐Mediated Photomultiplication via Cascade Energy Transfer in Organic Photodiode
Light‐mediated photomultiplication via cascade energy transfer in organic photodiode demonstrates external quantum efficiency exceeding 200% and specific detectivity surpassing 5.0 × 1013 Jones. This advancement effectively addresses the limitation of elevated dark current density characteristic of prior photomultiplication organic photodetectors ...
