A Novel Pak1 Activator Ameliorates ER Stress for HFpEF Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Chronic metabolic stress is a major contributor to HFpEF progression. Under prolonged metabolic stress, Pak1 activity becomes impaired, contributing to disrupted ER proteostasis, cardiomyocyte apoptosis, fibrosis, and diastolic dysfunction. Mechanistically, Pak1 overexpression activates the ERK1/2–MNK1–eIF4E signaling axis, promotes translational ...

Effect of hypertrophy on left ventricular diastolic function in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

open access: yesHeart International, 2006
Background. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is characterized by asymmetric LV hypertrophy (LVH) and impairment in diastolic function. We assess the relationship between LVH and invasive indexes of diastolic function. Methods.

Printable Piezoresistive Hybrid Hydrogels Based on 2D MoS2 for Flexible Pulse Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hybrid 1T‐MoS2‐based hydrogels are engineered through UV curing and 3D printing to achieve tunable electromechanical properties for wearable sensing. These soft architectures enhance mechanical stability and reproducible piezoresistive responses within the physiological pressure range.

NOVEL UNDERSTANDING OF THE PHASIC STRUCTURE OF SYSTEMIC CIRCULATION

open access: yesРоссийский кардиологический журнал, 2014
The article provides novel approach to the phasic structure of systemic circulation for rheovasogramms of upper and lower extremities, based upon neither geometrical description with visual evaluation of rheographic complexes, but upon genesis of their ...

Nucleoside‐Modified mRNA Encoding Alpha‐Galactosidase A Ameliorates Fabry Disease Phenotypes in Human IPSC‐Derived Cardiomyocytes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Human iPSC‐derived Fabry cardiomyocytes exhibited broad transcriptional dysregulation, apoptosis, mitochondrial dysfunction, impaired reactive oxygen species handling, altered contractility, and abnormal calcium transient decay, potentially mediated by phospholamban hyperphosphorylation.

GWAS summary statistics for left-ventricular phenotypes at end-diastole

open access: yes
<h2>GWAS summary statistics for left-ventricular traits at end-diastole</h2> <p>These phenotypes were derived from 3D meshes of the left ventricle at end-diastole, which in turn were obtained via segmentation from cardiovascular ...

SR‐A3 Promotes USP18‐Mediated deISGylation of STING to Protect Against Myocardial Ischemia‐Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
MI/RI is a major clinical challenge with high morbidity and mortality. This study demonstrates that SR‐A3 expression is downregulated in MI/RI, and its deletion exacerbates damage via the USP18/ISG15/STING axis, revealing SR‐A3 as a potential therapeutic target.

Hydrodynamics of Cardiac Diastole

open access: yes, 2011
Left ventricular diastole (filling) is a complex process with many features and coupled compensatory mechanisms which coordinate to maintain optimal filling and ejection of the left ventricle.
