Fabrication of Dicarboxylic-Acid- and Silica-Substituted Octacalcium Phosphate Blocks with Stronger Mechanical Strength

open access: yesCeramics
Octacalcium phosphate (OCP) is an attractive base material to combine into components developed for medical purposes, especially those used in bone replacement procedures, not only because of its excellent biocompatibility but also because of its ability

Conversion of the aldrin/dieldrin metabolite dihydrochlordene dicarboxylic acid-14C in rats.

open access: yes, 1975
Upon intravenous application of dihydrochlordene dicarboxylic acid-14C to rats, the radioactivity is quickly excreted, and 44% of the excreted radioactivity consists of metabolites. Nine metabolites have been isolated from feces and urine extracts. Three

Coordinative‐Guest‐Triggered Dimensional Crossover in a Metal–Organic Framework With Rigid Metal–Oxo Rods

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
We report a reversible structural phase transition in a metal–organic framework (MOF) triggered by the exchange of coordinative guest molecules. This MOF consists of rigid 1D Pb–O rods as building units, forming a 3D framework with 1D pores. Guest exchange induces pronounced changes in both the Pb–O rod structure and the dimensionality of the framework.

Electrochemical characterization of pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid

open access: yes, 1997
The electrochemical reactions of dipicolinic acid (pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid, DPA) in acidic and neutral solutions have been studied in order to determine the global electrochemical process.

Nitrooxylation in Organic Synthesis: From Classical Nitrate Ester Formation to Modern Catalytic Strategies

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Nitrooxylation—the installation of nitrate esters (–ONO2) has evolved from classical mixed‐acid protocols to catalytic and mechano‐, flow‐, photo‐, and electrochemical strategies. This review delineates ionic and radical manifolds for C–ONO2 bond formation, emphasizing mechanistic control, selected substrate scope, and selectivity.

Xylose Acetals ‐ a New Class of Sustainable Solvents and Their Application in Enzymatic Polycondensation

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 18, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
Novel organic solvents with an unmodified carbohydrate core were synthesised both from D‐xylose and directly from biomass and were successfully used as reaction media for lipase biocatalysts to synthesise aliphatic and aromatic polyesters. Abstract The use of organic solvents in academic research and industry applications is facing increasing ...

Novel Organelle‐Based Intracellular Immunity With Mechanistic and Therapeutic Implications

open access: yesBarrier Immunity, EarlyView.
A conceptual framework illustrating how PAMPs/DAMPs initiate barrier, innate, adaptive, and intracellular immune responses, with organelle‐based intracellular immunity serving as a central integrator linking metabolism, inflammatory signaling, and therapeutic interventions to restore immune homeostasis.

3-Carbamoyl-2,2-dimethylcyclopentane-1,1-dicarboxylic acid

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2012
In the title compound, C10H15NO5, the five-membered cyclopentane ring has an envelope conformation, with four atoms lying in a plane (mean deviation = 0.0213 Å), while the fifth atom deviates from this plane by 0.626 (2)&#

Electrical Interfacial Layer at Hematite/Dicarboxylic Acid Aqueous Interface

open access: yes, 2012
The interfacial properties of the system hematite/dicarboxylic acid were investigated in the presence of sodium perchlorate by means of adsorption, zeta potential and surface potential measurements. Maleic and fumaric acid were used as dicarboxylic acids.

Inherited metabolic epilepsies–established diseases, new approaches

open access: yesEpilepsia Open, EarlyView.
Abstract Inherited metabolic epilepsies (IMEs) represent the inherited metabolic disorders (IMDs) in which epilepsy is a prevailing component, often determining other neurodevelopmental outcomes associated with the disorder. The different metabolic pathways affected by individual IMEs are the basis of their rarity and heterogeneity.
