Response of an Infant With Presumed Multiple Acyl‐CoA Dehydrogenase Deficiency (MADD) to Ketone Supplementation

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Multiple Acyl‐CoA Dehydrogenase Deficiency (MADD) is an autosomal recessive inborn error of metabolism caused by biallelic pathogenic variants in one of three known genes: ETFA, ETFB, and ETFDH. It can cause multisystem dysfunction, including cardiomyopathy in severe cases.

‐Substitution of Aromatic Dicarboxylic Acids

open access: yes, 2012
A strategy for the regioselective alkylation of arenes was developed, starting from commercially available and inexpensive terephthalic acid or naphthalene-1,4-dicarboxylic acid.

2,2′-Bipyridine-5,5′-dicarboxylic acid [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E Structure Reports Online, 2009
The title mol-ecule, C(12)H(8)N(2)O(4), lies on an inversion center. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds connect mol-ecules into one-dimensional chains along [11].

Facile and Efficient Synthesis of Cyclic Anhydrides from Dicarboxylic Acids

open access: yes, 2016
An efficient, high-yielding sustainable route to cyclic anhydrides from biorenewable and inexpensive dicarboxylic acids has been developed. Cyclic anhydrides were synthesized from dicarboxylic acids using a catalyst prepared in situ from MgCl2 and ...

Characterization of dicarboxylic acids in PM2.5 in Hong Kong

open access: yes, 2004
Dicarboxylic acids in atmospheric aerosols have received much attention because of their potential roles in affecting the global climate. The composition and the sources of dicarboxylic acids in PM2.5 were studied at one remote and two urban sites in ...

Molecular and isotopic analyses of Tagish Lake alkyl dicarboxylic acids

open access: yes, 2002
The Tagish Lake meteorite soluble organic suite has a general composition that differs from those of both CI- and CM chondrites. These differences suggest that distinct processes may have been involved in the formation of different groups of organics in ...

Halogen Substituent Effect on the Spin-Transition Temperature in Spin-Crossover Fe(III) Compounds Bearing Salicylaldehyde 2-Pyridyl Hydrazone-Type Ligands and Dicarboxylic Acids

open access: yesInorganics, 2017
Four Fe(III) spin-crossover (SCO) compounds, [Fe(HL1)2](HCl4TPA) (1-Cl), [Fe(HL1)2](HBr4TPA) (1-Br), [Fe(HL2)2](HCl4TPA) (2-Cl), and [Fe(HL2)2](HBr4TPA) (2-Br) (HL1 = 4-chloro-2-nitro-6-(1-(2-(pyridine-2-yl)hydrazono)ethyl)phenolate; HL2 = 4-bromo-2 ...

Oxovanadium(IV) complexes of imidazole-4-acetic, imidazole-4,5-dicarboxylic and pyrazole-3,5-dicarboxylic acids

open access: yes, 1998
Complex formation between oxovanadium(IV) and several diazole derivatives (imidazole-4-acetic, imidazole-4,5-dicarboxylic and pyrazole-3,5-dicarboxylic acid) was studied in aqueous solution by pH-potentiometric and spectroscopic (electron paramagnetic ...

Ligações hidrogênio fortes em ácidos dicarboxílicos e diaminas aromáticas

open access: yesQuímica Nova, 2000
A very short-strong hydrogen bond (20kcal/mol) is found in the monoanion of certain dicarboxylic acids derived from maleic and dialkylmalonic acids. Certain aromatic diamines that are known as proton sponge have exceptionally high basicity (pKa) and are ...

Pharmaceutical salts of ciprofloxacin with dicarboxylic acids

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2015
New salts of antibiotic drug ciprofloxacin (CIP) with pharmaceutically acceptable maleic (Mlt), fumaric (Fum) and adipic (Adp) acids were obtained and their crystal structures were determined. The crystal lattices of the fumarate and adipate salts were found to accommodate the water molecules, while the maleate salt was anhydrous.
