Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Tracking Ungulate Diet: Comparing Observational and DNA Metabarcoding Tools
Large mammalian herbivores (LMH) are abundant in grazing ecosystems and play a pivotal role in shaping vegetation characteristics. However, accurately determining their diets through traditional methods, such as direct observations, remains challenging ...

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Sex‐specific diet differences in harbor seals (Phoca vitulina) via spatial assortment
The lack of recovery of Chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha) in the Pacific Northwest has been blamed in part on predation by pinnipeds, particularly the harbor seal (Phoca vitulina).

Validation and Modification of a Short Diet Screener “Diet Analysis”
Short questionnaires are increasingly used tools for quickly assessing dietary quality. In this study, a new questionnaire called “diet analysis” was validated and modified. The questionnaire consisting of 18 questions divided into 3 categories (completion time: 3-5 minutes). The objective was to compare the relative validity of this questionnaire with

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

The contribution of diet and genotype to iron status in women:a classical twin study [PDF]
This is the first published report examining the combined effect of diet and genotype on body iron content using a classical twin study design. The aim of this study was to determine the relative contribution of genetic and environmental factors in ...

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Cost Benefit Analysis of Popular Diets
The increase in obesity in recent years has led to the creation of numerous diets claiming to induce weight loss and improve overall health. While all diets claim to be the best, it is difficult to determine which diet provides the most utility given the costs of participation. These diets have varying scientific evidence to support the claims made and

Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.
