IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Feasibility Study of Multi-Wavelength Differential Absorption LIDAR for CO2 Monitoring

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2016
To obtain a better understanding of carbon cycle and accurate climate prediction models, highly accurate and temporal resolution observation of atmospheric CO2 is necessary. Differential absorption LIDAR (DIAL) remote sensing is a promising technology to

CHARM-F: The Airborne Integral Path Differential Absorption Lidar for Simultaneous Measurements of Atmospheric CO2 and CH4

open access: yes, 2010
CHARM-F (CO2 and CH4 Atmospheric Remote Monitoring – Flugzeug) is DLR’s airborne Integral Path Differential Absorption lidar for simultaneous measurements of the column weighted-average dry-air mixing ratios of atmospheric carbon dioxide and methane ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Scheimpflug-like processing of differential absorption lidar data on water vapor [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
Differential Absorption Lidar (DiAL) method is widely used for a number of ground-based and airborne greenhouse gas measurement applications. However, for a direct detection in the 2µm range, other sources of random noise can be neglected in front of the

Water Vapour Differential Absorption Lidar measurements at 935 nm using a Nd:YGG laser

open access: yes, 2010
A novel diode-pumped, single-frequency laser system emitting at 935 nm was developed to serve as the transmitter for water differential absorption lidar measurements. This laser uses Nd:YGG (Y3Ga5O12) as the active medium.

Dynamic Analysis of a Delayed Carbon Emission-Absorption Model for China’s Urbanization and Population Growth

open access: yes, 2022
The increase of carbon emissions accelerates global warming and causes environmental problems. Therefore, research on emission peak and carbon neutrality is of broad interest.

Dual PI3K/AKT and CDK4/6 inhibition reveals selective sensitivity in an SHH medulloblastoma stem cell model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Dose-dependent effects of dietary fat on development of obesity in relation to intestinal differential gene expression in C57BL/6J mice

open access: yes, 2011
Excessive intake of dietary fat is known to be a contributing factor in the development of obesity. In this study, we determined the dose-dependent effects of dietary fat on the development of this metabolic condition with a focus on changes in gene ...
