Inhibiting stearoyl‐CoA desaturase suppresses bone metastatic prostate cancer by modulating cellular stress, mTOR signaling, and DNA damage response

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

DIFFERENTIAL PROTECTION OF BUSBAR 110-220 kV WITH APPLICATION OF METHOD OF DOUBLE ENTRY

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений: Проблемы энергетики, 2018
For increase of efficiency protection of busbar 110-220 kV is proposed to use an algorithms, based on the differential principle, in combination with the method of double entry. Double entry it is method of registration of economic operations accounting,

Differential Protection of a Three-Phase Power Transformer Using Hall Effect Current Transducer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
In a power system, transformers and other electrical equipment need to be protected not only from short circuit, but also from abnormal operating conditions, such as over loading, and differential fault protection.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Research on Improvement of Data Synchronization Method for Distribution Network Differential Protection Based on 5G

open access: yesEnergies
To enhance the reliability of traditional current protection systems in the evolving landscape of future power grids, this paper proposes a differential protection data synchronization approach that leverages satellite and 5G network timing.

PARP inhibitors elicit distinct transcriptional programs in homologous recombination competent castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

The Analysis and Solution of Current Differential Protection Maloperation for Transmission Line with High Series Compensation Degree

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
With the increasing integration of huge-size generators and tighter interconnection among power grids, in internal fault, the fault current of Series Compensated (SC) lines may be reversed.

Outgrowing Resource Dependence: Theory and Evidence [PDF]

open access: yes
Many policy makers are concerned about dependence on resource exports. This paper examines three changes that reduce this dependence: (i) accumulation of capital and skills; (ii) changes in protection policy, particularly reductions in the burden of ...

A New Method for Protecting Interrelated Time Series with Bayesian Prior Distributions and Synthetic Data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Organizations disseminate statistical summaries of administrative data via the Web for unrestricted public use. They balance the trade-off between confidentiality protection and inference quality.

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.
