Atomic Layer Deposition in Transistors and Monolithic 3D Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Transistors are fundamental building blocks of modern electronics. This review summarizes recent progress in atomic layer deposition (ALD) for the synthesis of two‐dimensional (2D) metal oxides and transition‐metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), with particular emphasis on their enabling role in monolithic three‐dimensional (M3D) integration for next ...

Determination of ascorbic acid by differential pulse voltammetry

open access: yesFresenius' Zeitschrift für analytische Chemie, 1982
A new approach to the determination of ascorbic acid has been realized with differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) on the carbon paste electrode (CPE). The problems of the reproducibility of the surface of this electrode have been resolved by using always the same surface after its conditioning.

Understanding the Effects of Conductive Polymer Electrode Coating on Recorded Neural Signals

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Conductive polymer coatings are widely explored to improve the quality of signals recorded with chronically implanted neural electrodes, offering enhanced biocompatibility along with reduced electrode impedance. Combining computational modelling and data from PEDOT:PTS coated and PtIr electrodes in rats, we show that improvements in signal quality with

Molybdenum metallic nanoparticle detection via differential pulse voltammetry

open access: yesElectrochemistry Communications, 2011
Abstract Direct electrochemical detection of nanoparticles is of high importance of analytical chemistry and nanotechnology. We show here that molybdenum nanoparticles are readily oxidizable in phosphate buffer of neutral pH at − 5 mV (vs. Ag/AgCl). This open doors for direct detection of molybdenum with important implications for the use molybdenum ...

Electrochemical detection of perchloroethylene using differential pulse voltammetry

open access: yesElectrochemistry Communications, 2013
Abstract We demonstrate the application of differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) for the electrochemical detection of perchloroethylene (PCE) on an unmodified glassy carbon electrode surface. Detection sensitivity was substantially improved using DPV, in which dechlorination was denoted by a cathodic peak observed at approximately − 0.6 V (vs Ag/AgCl).

Engineered Protein‐Based Ionic Conductors for Sustainable Energy Storage Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Rational incorporation of charged residues into an engineered, self‐assembling protein scaffold yields solid‐state protein films with outstanding ionic conductivity. Salt‐doping further enhances conductivity, an effect amplified in the engineered variants. These properties enable the material integration into an efficient supercapacitor.
