Structural and functional connectivity reconstruction with CATO - A Connectivity Analysis TOolbox
We describe a Connectivity Analysis TOolbox (CATO) for the reconstruction of structural and functional brain connectivity based on diffusion weighted imaging and resting-state functional MRI data.

Design of Anisotropic Diffusion Hardware Fiber Phantoms [PDF]
A gold standard for the validation of diffusion weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DW-MRI) in brain white matter (WM) is essential for clinical purposes but still not available.

Potential use of oxygen as a metabolic biosensor in combination with T2*-weighted MRI to define the ischemic penumbra [PDF]
We describe a novel magnetic resonance imaging technique for detecting metabolism indirectly through changes in oxyhemoglobin:deoxyhemoglobin ratios and T2* signal change during ‘oxygen challenge’ (OC, 5 mins 100% O2). During OC, T2* increase reflects O2

Multishot diffusion‐weighted FSE using PROPELLER MRI [PDF]
AbstractA method for obtaining diffusion‐weighted images that are free from the artifacts associated with echo‐planar acquisitions, such as signal pile‐up and geometric warping, is introduced. It uses an ungated, multishot fast spin‐echo (FSE) acquisition that is self‐navigated.

Functional Connectivity Linked to Cognitive Recovery After Minor Stroke
ABSTRACT Objective Patients with minor stroke exhibit slowed processing speed and generalized alterations in functional connectivity involving frontoparietal cortex (FPC). The pattern of connectivity evolves over time. In this study, we examine the relationship of functional connectivity patterns to cognitive performance, to determine ...

Lhermitte-Duclos disease: A case report with radiologic-pathologic correlation
Background: Lhermitte-Duclos disease (LDD) stems from the development of a rare benign lesion of uncertain pathogenesis that distorts the normal cerebellar laminar cytoarchitecture.

Unenhanced whole-body MRI versus PET-CT for the detection of prostate cancer metastases after primary treatment [PDF]
The aim of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of unenhanced whole-body MRI, including whole-body Diffusion Weighted Imaging (DWI), used as a diagnostic modality to detect pathologic lymph nodes and skeletal metastases in patients with prostate ...

Glymphatic Dysfunction Reflects Post‐Concussion Symptoms: Changes Within 1 Month and After 3 Months
ABSTRACT Objective Mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) may alter glymphatic function; however, its progression and variability remain obscure. This study examined glymphatic function following mTBI within 1 month and after 3 months post‐injury to determine whether variations in glymphatic function are associated with post‐traumatic symptom severity ...

Nonrigid Registration of Prostate Diffusion-Weighted MRI [PDF]
Motion and deformation are common in prostate diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DWI) during acquisition. These misalignments lead to errors in estimating an apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) map fitted with DWI. To address this problem, we propose an image registration algorithm to align the prostate DWI and improve ADC map.

ABSTRACT Objective Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) is a rare, life‐threatening neurological emergency with unclear etiology in many cases. Mitochondrial dysfunction, often due to disease‐causing genetic variants, is increasingly recognized as a cause, with each gene producing distinct pathophysiological mechanisms.
