Turing pattern dynamics in a fractional-diffusion oregonator model under PD control

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis
In this paper, fractional-order diffusion and proportional-derivative (PD) control are introduced in oregonator model, and the Turing pattern dynamics is investigated for the first time.

Reaction-controlled diffusion [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2000
The dynamics of a coupled two-component nonequilibrium system is examined by means of continuum field theory representing the corresponding master equation. Particles of species A may perform hopping processes only when particles of different type B are present in their environment. Species B is subject to diffusion-limited reactions. If the density of

Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Rumor Diffusion and Control Based on Double-Layer Dynamic Evolution Model

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
The widespread of rumors is no doubt harmful to information security and social stability. Therefore, it is necessary to control it effectively. In this paper, a dynamic model with a double-layer interaction process is proposed to explore the impact of ...

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Design of a production control system for a diffusion department [PDF]

open access: yes, 1981
A learning approach is presented to the design of comprehensive production control systems for complex situations. The approach essentially starts from the assumption that defining the production control problem and solving the problem are interdependent
