Lamellar-zeolitic transformations mediated by diffusionless and recrystallization mechanisms
Microporous and Mesoporous Materials, 2021Abstract The interzeolitic conversions can be divided according to the mechanisms that govern them: competing phases, intergrowth, recrystallization and diffusionless (reconstructive and topotactic). Lamellar silicates have been used as precursors in these transformations, since they share many similarities with zeolites and can also perform a bulky ...

Diffusionless FCC to BCC phase transformation in CoCrCuFeNi MPEA thin films
Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2021Abstract The aim of the present work is growing CoCrCuFeNi HEA thin films of 40–50 nm thickness and annealing them in-situ in the electron microscope for a better understanding and controlling the early stages of phase and compositional instability of as deposited films at temperatures up to 550 °C.

Diffusionless phase transformation characteristics of Mn75.7Pt24.3
Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2014Abstract Phase transformation, damping, and magnetic properties of a Mn 75.7 Pt 24.3 (at.%) alloy were characterized. It was observed that Mn 75.7 Pt 24.3 exhibits a stable phase transformation in the temperature range of 180–200 °C with a small temperature hysteresis and maximum transformation strain of ∼0.5%.

Diffusionless omega transformations in quenched and pressurized ZrMo alloys
Acta Metallurgica, 1983Abstract Metastable structures formed in ZrMo alloys on quenching and following high pressure application were studied by transmission electron microscopy and X-ray phase analysis. New structures consisting of a mixture of α phase and ω phase originating in α [i.e. ω(α)] were observed.

Diffusionless Tetragonal–Cubic Transformation Temperature in Zirconia–Ceria Solid Solutions
Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 1993Diffusionless tetragonal ( t′ ) cubic ( c′ ) phase transformation in 65‐mol%‐CeO 2 ‐ZrO 2 was investigated around the c′‐t ...

New experimental evidence of the diffusionless transformation nature of bainite
Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2013Abstract Since the discovery of bainite, research over many decades has revealed a substantial amount of information about the mechanism of the bainite transformation in steels. Elements of the theory are now routinely being used in many parts of the world in the design of novel alloys and in the interpretation of a variety of experimental data ...

Graphical Analysis of Diffusionless Phase Changes—the Cubic to Twinned Orthorhombic Transformation
Journal of Applied Physics, 1957A simplified method of calculating the crystallographic features of a diffusionless (martensitic) phase change is described and applied to the gold-cadmium alloy cubic-orthorhombic transformation. Use of the method requires a knowledge of the initial and final crystal structures and the specification of the crystallographic plane and direction of the ...
