Diffusionless Phase Transformations in Zirconia and Hafnia
Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 1963A study, by high‐temperature diffractometry, of the monoclinic‐tetragonal phase changes in pure ZrO 2 and HfO 2 disclosed that the hysteresis loops associated with the transformations have similar shapes which are typical of many martensitic phase ...

Diffusionless transformation in iron-nickel, iron-chromium and iron-silicon alloys
Acta Metallurgica, 1962Abstract The gamma to alpha transformation in iron-nickel (0–15 at.% nickel), iron-chromium (0–10 at.% chromium) and iron-silicon (0–2.7 at.% silicon) alloys has been measured as a function of the cooling rate. The rate required to produce maximum undercooling in the different alloys is compared.

A postulate for diffusionless transformation in duplex FeMnAlC alloys
Scripta Metallurgica et Materialia, 1990Study of a phase transformation of the kind BCC-to-18 R (51) 3 during water quenching of duplex Fe-Mn-Al-C alloys by means of the light microscopy (LM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and ...

The founder of the theory of diffusionless (martensite) transformations in metallic alloys
Metal Science and Heat Treatment, 1997In February 1997 G. V. Kurdyumov is to celebrate his 95th birthday. Doing justice to this wonderful scientist, we publish an article by his disciples (colleagues at the Bardin Central Research Institute of Ferrous Metallurgy) devoted to his achievements in the field of martensite transformations.

Direct Observation of the Diffusionless β → β + ω Transformation in Titanium Alloys
Proceedings, annual meeting, Electron Microscopy Society of America, 1971The electron microscope has been used to study the diffusionless β → β + ω transformation occurring in certain titanium alloys at low temperatures. Evidence for such a transformation was obtained by Cometto et al by means of x-ray diffraction and resistivity measurements on a Ti-Nb alloy.
