The GGH/HuR Complex Binds and Stabilizes mRNAs to Maintain Tumor Cell Cycle and DNA Replication

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Despite its canonical role in inhibiting DNA synthesis, GGH promotes tumor growth as a novel RNA‐binding protein. GGH binds GC‐rich 5′UTRs (e.g., CDC6/CCND1), recruits HuR to form a ternary complex that stabilizes mRNA via circular conformation, fueling DNA replication and the cell cycle. Targeting this axis suppresses NSCLC progression.

Effect of Additional Terminal Residues on the Folding and Unfolding Dynamics of Cold Shock Protein

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Enhancing protein stability through N‐ and C‐terminal modifications presents a safe and cost‐effective strategy. We investigated this by combining single‐molecule magnetic tweezers experiments and molecular dynamics simulations to study the folding and unfolding dynamics of CSP with various appended residues (LE‐CSP‐GS, KL‐CSP‐GS, KL‐CSP‐LE).

Cancer Immunotherapy via Disruption of Integrin αvβ3 and CD47 Costabilization on Cancer Cell Surface

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies a cancer‐specific interaction between CD47 and integrin αvβ3 that facilitates immune evasion. A rationally designed peptide, PSFL‐NK13, disrupts this axis, enhancing macrophage‐mediated phagocytosis and suppressing tumor growth without inducing anemia.
