Enhanced Biogas Production via Anaerobic Co-Digestion of Slaughterhouse and Food Waste Using Ferric Oxide as a Sustainable Conductive Material [PDF]
The anaerobic co-digestion of slaughterhouse wastewater and food waste offers a sustainable approach to waste treatment and biogas production. However, limited literature was found on the study of ferric oxide as conductive material in co-digestion of the two substrates.

Design Patterns which Facilitate Message Digest Collision Attacks on Blockchains [PDF]
Message digest algorithms are one of the underlying building blocks of blockchain platforms such as Ethereum. This paper analyses situations in which the message digest collision resistance property can be exploited by attackers. Two mitigations for possible attacks are described: longer message digest sizes make attacks more difficult; and, including ...

ZNF469 regulates the expression of genes encoding extracellular matrix proteins. Endogenous ZNF469 is predominantly cytoplasmic, while in transfected cells, it forms aggregates reminiscent of biomolecular condensates, located mainly in the nucleus. These condensates exhibit overlapping staining with proteasomes and are also associated with the mitotic ...

Microbiota: the missing link in the etiology of inflammatory bowel disease [PDF]
Within its twisted and tight walls, where a hostile and arid environment prevails, the lumen of the digestive tract nests a true microuniverse called the microbiota.

Allium Vegetables Intake and Digestive System Cancer Risk: A Study Based on Mendelian Randomization, Network Pharmacology and Molecular Docking [PDF]
Background: Allium vegetables (garlic and onion) are one of the flavorings in people's daily diets. Observational studies suggest that intake of allium vegetables may be correlated with a lower incidence of digestive system cancers. However, the existence of a causal relationship is still controversial due to confounding factors and reverse causation ...

Monitoring management criterion of an anaerobic digester using an explicit model based on temperature and pH [PDF]
In this paper, the stability analysis of an anaerobic digestion process is presented. The analysis is performed using a simplified mathematical model, which includes explicit temperature and pH dependence on kinetic growth rates. A detailed nonlinear and bifurcation analyses are performed in order to study the effects of temperature and pH parameters ...

The inactivation of SLC35C1 (GDP‐fucose transporter) and enzymes involved in GDP‐fucose biosynthesis was studied. Fucose supplementation increases the level of GDP‐fucose to abnormal, millimolar values in the absence of the TSTA3 protein and SLC35C1 in contrast to the GMDS/SLC35C1 double mutant.
