A Generalized Center-Aligned High-Resolution Pulse Width Modulator Implementation Using an Output Serializer in Field Programmable Gate Arrays

open access: yesActuators
A digital pulse width modulator (DPWM) is a key component in digital power electronics. Techniques like space vector modulation, along with rising switching frequencies from wide-bandgap power transistors, create a need for a center-aligned high ...

Promoting Sustainable Prescribing—A Case Study Presenting Experiences From Two Swedish Drug and Therapeutics Committees

open access: yesPharmacology Research &Perspectives, Volume 14, Issue 4, August 2026.
ABSTRACT During the past two decades, it has become evident that pharmaceuticals is an emerging environmental problem. In this study, we present the experiences from two Swedish Drug & Therapeutics Committees (DTCs) on how they integrate environmental considerations into their formularies and continuous professional education activities.

A Fuzzy‐Logic and Machine Learning‐Based Framework for Water Quality Index Classification in Extensive and Intensive Aquaculture Systems

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 6, June 2026.
This study presents an Internet of Things (IoT)‐to‐Cloud framework for real‐time monitoring and prediction of the Water Quality Index (WQI) across both extensive and intensive aquaculture systems. By integrating Fuzzy Logic biological thresholds with ML classification, the Random Forest model achieves over 99.5% accuracy in both environments ...

Nonlinearity-Induced Spur Analysis in Fractional-N Synthesizers With ΔΣ Quantization Cancellation

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of the Solid-State Circuits Society
A fractional-N frequency synthesizer with low total jitter [e.g., <50fsrms, accounting for both phase noise (PN) and spurs] is essential for enabling the emerging 5G/6G and other high-speed wireless communication standards (e.g., WiFi-6/7).

Robust Control Using a Matrix Converter to Enhance Wind Turbine Systems

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 6, Page 2785-2815, June 2026.
This study uses a more efficient and effective solution to improve the operational performance of a wind turbine‐based power system. This system uses a doubly fed induction generator and relies on a matrix converter and fractional‐order proportional–integral controller.

A 8.9 to 10-GHz −97.86-dBc Reference Spur Pulser-Free Continuous Charge Pump Sub-Sampling PLL With Fine-Tunable Dead-Zone Generator in 65-nm CMOS Process

open access: yesIEEE Access
A sub-sampling PLL (SSPLL) with a pulser-free continuous charge pump (CCP) and a bootstrap sampling front-end has been developed and the reference spurs can be significantly suppressed by eliminating cyclic high impedance charge pump operation. A counter-

No App, No Entry: Conceptualizing Digital Technology Captivity in Service Access

open access: yesPsychology &Marketing, Volume 43, Issue 5, Page 974-985, May 2026.
ABSTRACT We introduce Digital Technology Captivity (DTC), a form of consumer vulnerability that arises when digital technologies become the mandatory gateway to essential services. When access is tied to systems that feel unfamiliar, complex, or intimidating—and when preferred alternatives are limited—consumers may experience heightened vulnerability ...

Isocitrate Dehydrogenase Mutations in Cancer: From Bench to Bedside Applications

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 5, May 2026.
Mutant isocitrate dehydrogenase affects multiple cancer types. Alterations in IDH1 and IDH2 result in abnormal enzyme activity, leading to the overproduction of D‐2‐hydroxyglutarate (D‐2HG). This metabolite disrupts cellular metabolism and epigenetic regulation, driving cancer initiation, progression, and metastasis.
