Assembling and enriching digital library collections

open access: yes, 2003
People who create digital libraries need to gather together the raw material, add metadata as necessary, and design and build new collections. This paper sets out the requirements for these tasks and describes a new tool that supports them interactively,

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Topical issues of digitalization of the educational and legal space of the state

open access: yesВестник Тамбовского университета. Серия: Гуманитарные науки
The analysis of actual problems related to the digitalization of legal education is carried out. At the present stage, it is impossible to imagine the educational process without the digital space and the subjects of educational activity involved in it ...

State-space representation for digital waveguide networks of lossy flared acoustic pipes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This paper deals with digital waveguide modeling of wind instruments. It presents the application of state-space representations to the acoustic model of Webster-Lokshin. This acoustic model describes the propagation of longitudinal waves in axisymmetric

Browsing a digital library: A new approach for the New Zealand digital library

open access: yes, 2003
Browsing is part of the information seeking process, used when information needs are ill-defined or unspecific. Browsing and searching are often interleaved during information seeking to accommodate changing awareness of information needs.

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

EPISTEMOLOGICAL POLEMICS IN DIGITAL RELIGION

open access: yesKanz Philosophia: A Journal for Islamic Philosophy and Mysticism
Digital religion is where religious beliefs meet digital media. Networked technologies have changed how people share, interpret, and practice their faith. These technologies shift authority away from traditional institutions, allowing ordinary people and

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

The Relationship Between Artificial Intelligence and Critical Infrastructure Development: Bibliometric Analysis

open access: yesProceedings of the International Conference on Applied Innovations in IT
Currently, the priority direction of the national economy in the world’s countries is the formation of an appropriate system of protection and security of critical infrastructure, which is able to quickly respond to exogenous and endogenous threats and ...

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.
