USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Network calculus based dimensioning for industrial wireless mesh networks

open access: yes, 2012
Wireless Mesh network is widely adopted in both wideband mobile communication network and short distance RF industrial network. As for the latter field, network robustness and real-time are two important issues. Network dimensioning is therefore required

Updating the Design Map of Frost Indexes as a Prerequisite for Relevant Assessment of Track Substructure for Non-Traffic Load

open access: yesCivil and Environmental Engineering, 2018
The initial part of the paper briefly characterizes the present state of the track substructure dimensioning for the non-traffic load and the necessity of updating the design map of frost indexes IFd as a basis for dimensioning. A substantial part of the

Fair and efficient network dimensioning with the reference point methodology

open access: yesJournal of Telecommunications and Information Technology, 2006
The dimensioning of telecommunication networks that carry elastic traffic requires the fulfillment of two conflicting goals: maximizing the total network throughput and providing fairness to all flows.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected

Liberating the dimension

open access: yesJournal of Complexity, 2010
The authors address the problem of integration over the \(d\)-dimensional unit cube of a function \(f\) of \(d\) variables, \[ I_d(f) = \int_{[0,1]^d} f({\mathbf{x}}) d{\mathbf{x}}. \] It is possible to design an algorithm for which the error is bounded polynomially in \(d\), or independently of \(d\) under suitable conditions on the weighted function ...

Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.
