Abstract Raman study of cation and anion solvation in dimethyl sulfoxide, propylene carbonate and dimethyl carbonate solutions of six lithium salts has been performed in the concentration range from 0.05 to 0.25 molar fraction of a salt. The dependences of the amount of the solvent particles involved in dimerization, hydrogen bonding, and solvation ...

Potentiation of Carbon Tetrachloride Toxicity by Dimethyl Sulphoxide
Nature, 1967DIMETHYL sulphoxide (DMSO) has received considerable attention because of its remarkable biological properties1,2, It passes rapidly through many animal membranes, enhances absorption of a wide variety of substances and is also a versatile solvent with little systemic toxicity when given to animals3–5.

Solubilities of Nonpolar Gases in Dimethyl Carbonate and Diethyl Carbonate
Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data, 2005This paper reports the mole fraction solubilities of nine nonpolar gases (He, Ne, Ar, Kr, Xe, CH4, C2H4, C2H6, and SF6) in dimethyl carbonate and diethyl carbonate at 278.15 K and 288.15 K at a partial pressure of gas equal to 101.33 kPa. The solubility values were fitted as a linear function of the temperature.

Intercalation of Dimethyl Carbonate, Diethyl Carbonate and Ethylene Carbonate into Vanadyl Phosphate
Journal of Inclusion Phenomena and Macrocyclic Chemistry, 2005Intercalation compounds of vanadyl phosphate with dimethyl carbonate (DMC), diethyl carbonate (DEC), and ethylene carbonate (EC) were prepared from VOPO4·2C2H5OH intercalate by a molecular exchange. The intercalates prepared were characterized using powder X-ray diffraction and thermogravimetric analysis.

Enthalpies of mixing of dimethyl sulphide + carbon tetrachloride and dimethyl sulphide + chloroform
Australian Journal of Chemistry, 1975Enthalpies of mixing at 278.15 K, 288.15 K and 298.15 K are reported for mixtures of dimethyl sulphide + carbon tetrachloride and dimethyl sulphide + chloroform. The enthalpies of mixing for both systems are negative. At T = 298.15 K, x = 0.5 the enthalpy of mixing of the carbon tetrachloride mixture is approximately -450 J mol-1 and for the chloroform

The liquid–liquid coexistence for dimethyl carbonate + nonane and dimethyl carbonate + dodecane have been measured. The critical amplitudes and the critical exponents are obtained from the measured experimental data. The critical exponents corresponding to the coexistence curve β are consistent with the 3D-Ising values.

DIMETHYL CARBONATE WITH ETHERS:THERMOPHYSICAL STUDY
Viscosities, densities of liquid-liquid combinations of dimethyl carbonate with (Butyloxy) ethylene, 2- isopropoxypropane, methyl phenyl ether, and 1-Butoxybutane have been calculated through the entire compositions radius at temperatures (303.15, 308.15 and 313.15)K.openaire +1 more source
Catalytic obtaining of dimetoxymethane, dimethyl oxalate and dimethyl carbonate from methanol
Kataliz v promyshlennostiThis paper presents promising approaches to using methanol as a feedstock for producing valuable chemical products. Catalysts and technologies to produce dimethoxymethane, dimethyl oxalate, and dimethyl carbonate are discussed. This review may be of interest given the reduced methanol exports from Russia, with the aim of developing domestic methanol ...
