Synthesis of glycerol carbonate from dimethyl carbonate and glycerol using CaO derived from eggshells [PDF]
Waste eggshell is proposed as a highly active catalyst for glycerol carbonate production from dimethyl carbonate (DMC) and glycerol. The effect of reaction temperature, reaction time and catalyst loading on the reaction performance were investigated in ...

NMR metabolomics revealed concentration‐dependent metabolic perturbations in HepG2 cells exposed to H2O2. Rifampicin pretreatment enhanced metabolic competence, attenuated toxin‐induced alterations and produced metabolite profiles more consistent with human liver physiology, supporting the use of CYP450‐induced HepG2 models for improved in vitro ...

On the conformational behavior of dimethyl carbonate
Infrared (4000–50 cm-1) spectra of the vapor, the amorphous and crystalline solid phase, and Raman spectra (4000–50 cm-1) of the vapor, liquid and crystalline solid phases of dimethyl carbonate have been recorded, and assignments are proposed. MP2 and DFT abinitio calculations were carried out using a 6-31G** basis set.

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Acid catalyzed synthesis of dimethyl isosorbide via dimethyl carbonate chemistry
Dimethyl isosorbide (DMI) is a bio-based solvent that can be used as green alternative for conventional dipolar media (dimethyl sulfoxide, dimethylformamide, and dimethylacetamide). The main synthetic procedures to DMI reported in the literature are based on the methylation of isosorbide employing different alkylating agents including toxic halogen ...

Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron

In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.
