The occurrence of batatasins in the dioscoreaceae

Abstract The tubers and/or aerial bulbils of 13 species of Dioscorea , mostly of tropical origin, and one species each of Rajania and Tamus , were examined for the presence of batatasins. These phenolics have previously been reported in the temperate species D. opposite .
