Les dioxines et les PCB « type-dioxine » dans les aliments gras

open access: yesOléagineux, Corps gras, Lipides, 2003
Dioxin is the common name associated with polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDD’s) and dibenzofurans (PCDF’s). It includes 210 congeners of which 17 are considered the most toxic.

Occurrence of Polychlorinated Dibenzo-p-Dioxins and Dibenzofurans and Polychlorinated Biphenyls in Fruit and Vegetables from the “Land of Fires” Area of Southern Italy

open access: yesToxics, 2017
The concentrations of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-concentrations dioxins (PCDDs), polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDFs) (PCDD/Fs), and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) were determined in fruit and vegetables collected in farms located in the well-known ...

Effects of curcumin on the bioavailability of dioxin-like pollutants in rats

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
The effects of curcumin on the bioavailability of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins/furans (PCDD/Fs) and dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls (DL-PCBs) were investigated in Sprague–Dawley rats.

The Need and Potential of Biosensors to Detect Dioxins and Dioxin-Like Polychlorinated Biphenyls along the Milk, Eggs and Meat Food Chain

open access: yes, 2011
Dioxins and dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls (DL-PCBs) are hazardous toxic, ubiquitous and persistent chemical compounds, which can enter the food chain and accumulate up to higher trophic levels.

Non-dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyl neurotoxic equivalents found in environmental and human samples

open access: yesRegulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology, 2021
Non-dioxin like polychlorinated biphenyls (NDL PCB) are recognized neurotoxicants with implications on altered neurodevelopment and neurodegeneration in exposed organisms. NDL PCB neurotoxic relative potency schemes have been developed for a single mechanism, namely activity toward the ryanodine receptor (RyR), or combined mechanisms including, but not

Dioxin and dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in Scottish farmed salmon (Salmo salar): effects of replacement of dietary marine fish oil with vegetable oils [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Duplicate groups of Atlantic salmon were fed one of four practical-type diets from first feeding to harvest after 115 weeks. The four diets were low fish oil (16% w/w, LFO), high fish oil (35% w/w, HFO), low vegetable oil (17%, linseed oil/rapeseed oil ...

Dietary exposure to dioxins and PCBs in a large cohort of pregnant women: Results from the Norwegian Mother and Child Cohort Study (MoBa)

open access: yesEnvironment International, 2013
Exposure to dioxins and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) during pregnancy and breastfeeding may result in adverse health effects in children. Prenatal exposure is determined by the concentrations of dioxins and PCBs in maternal blood, which reflect the ...

The three-dimensional structure of 3,3′,4,4′-tetrachlorobiphenyl, a dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) [PDF]

open access: yesChemosphere, 2008
The crystal structure of PCB 77 (3,3',4,4'-tetrachlorobiphenyl, C(12)H(6)Cl(4)), a dioxin-like PCB congener, is described. The dihedral angle of PCB 77 is 43.94(6) degrees, which is slightly larger than calculated or experimental dihedral angles of biphenyl derivatives in solution but smaller than experimental dihedral angles in the gas phase.

Quality of cultured eels as affected by pollution sources and risk assessment of dioxins and dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls

open access: yesFood Production, Processing and Nutrition
The aim of this research was to determine the residues of dioxins and dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls in cultured eel and find out the source of pollution and the distribution pattern of eels.
