Sense-encoded poly-GR dipeptide repeat proteins correlate to neurodegeneration and uniquely co-localize with TDP-43 in dendrites of repeat-expanded C9orf72 amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. [PDF]
Hexanucleotide repeat expansions in C9orf72 are the most common genetic cause of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (C9 ALS). The main hypothesized pathogenic mechanisms are C9orf72 haploinsufficiency and/or toxicity from one or more of bi-directionally ...

Negative regulation of TREM2-mediated C9orf72 poly-GA clearance by the NLRP3 inflammasome
Summary: Expansion of the hexanucleotide repeat GGGGCC in the C9orf72 gene is the most common genetic factor in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD).

Under 660 nm visible light, Ru NCs efficiently photocatalyze nitrate‐to‐ammonium conversion and modulate oral nitrogen metabolism. They precisely perturb Veillonella parvula, block its key support to Porphyromonas gingivalis, and exert an “inhibiting without killing” antivirulence effect.

Binding of the heterogeneous ribonucleoprotein K (hnRNP K) to the Epstein-Barr virus nuclear antigen 2 (EBNA2) enhances viral LMP2A expression. [PDF]
The Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) -encoded EBNA2 protein, which is essential for the in vitro transformation of B-lymphocytes, interferes with cellular processes by binding to proteins via conserved sequence motifs.

Targeting WDR12 Unleashes T‐Cell‐Mediated Antitumor Activity in Melanoma by Destabilizing CD276
WDR12 cooperates with the chaperonin subunit CCT7 to maintain CD276 stability on tumor cells, suppressing T‐cell activity and promoting immune escape. SU14813, a small‐molecule WDR12 inhibitor, reduces CD276 stability and relieves CD276‐mediated T‐cell suppression.
