A Linear, Direct Far-Field Subwavelength Imaging Method: Microparticle-Assisted Nanoscopy
Microparticle-assisted nanoscopy (MAN) is a novel emerging technique of direct far-field deeply subwavelength imaging, which has been developed since 2011 as a set of experimental techniques.

Building feature extraction method based on double reflection imaging dictionary
In the technology of building feature extraction, multi-path virtual image appears in the imaging result because the imaging scene is composed of complex wall model and the observation distance of the through-wall radar is short.

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Classification of melanocytic lesions using direct illumination multispectral imaging
With rising melanoma incidence and mortality, early detection and surgical removal of primary lesions is essential. Multispectral imaging is a new, non-invasive technique that can facilitate skin cancer detection by measuring the reflectance spectra of ...

Directed graph based image registration
In this paper, a novel image registration method is proposed to achieve accurate registration between images having large shape differences with the help of a set of appropriate intermediate templates. We first demonstrate that directionality is a key factor in both pairwise image registration and groupwise registration, which is defined in this paper ...

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Advanced optical imaging methods for investigating manuscripts
This paper gives an overview of advanced optical imaging methods relevant to the study of manuscripts. While some of the methods covered are well established, others are very much in active development.

Quantitative Live-Cell Imaging of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV-1) Assembly [PDF]
Advances in fluorescence methodologies make it possible to investigate biological systems in unprecedented detail. Over the last few years, quantitative live-cell imaging has increasingly been used to study the dynamic interactions of viruses with cells ...

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.
