Iterative learning control based direct instantaneous torque control of switched reluctance motors
2004 IEEE 35th Annual Power Electronics Specialists Conference (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37551), 2004In this paper, iterative learning control (ILC) based direct instantaneous torque controller (DITC) for SRM is proposed. Direct torque control avoids the conversion of demanded motor torque into equivalent phase current references; which is non-trivial due to the coupled and non-linear torque, current and rotor position relationship.

A high efficiency direct instantaneous torque control of SRM using commutation angles control
2014 17th International Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems (ICEMS), 2014This paper investigates the problem of angle optimization in direct instantaneous torque controlled (DITC) switched reluctance motor (SRM). The torque to ampere ratio (T/A) enlargement of the motor is studied through adjustment of switching angles in order to improve the efficiency of the motor.

Switched-reluctance technology is appealing to the automotive industry due to its cost efficiency. Conventional research focuses on the two main issues torque ripple and acoustic noise. However, control schemes usually only address one of these two issues at a time.

Direct instantaneous torque control of switched reluctance motor based on adaptive backstepping
2014 17th International Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems (ICEMS), 2014Direct instantaneous torque control (DITC) is an efficient techinique of supressing torque ripple of switched reluctance motor (SRM). However, the performances of the conventional DITC with hysteresis torque control will be degraded due to limited sampling frequency in digital implementation.

Direct instantaneous torque control of a four-phase switched reluctance motor
2009 International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems (PEDS), 2009The paper presents an investigation on the direct instantaneous torque control (DITC) of a 1-hp four-phase 8/6 switched reluctance motor (SRM). In the proposed technique, the instantaneous phase torque was estimated in real-time using a pre-stored look-up table of measured static torque, T(i, λ), where phase current and phase flux linkage were input ...

Predictive PWM-based direct instantaneous torque control of switched reluctance drives
2006 37th IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 2006A method of direct instantaneous torque control for switched reluctance motor drives using pulse width modulation based on flux linkage prediction is presented in this paper. The torque characteristic of the machine allows a prediction of reference flux linkage for the next sampling time-step.

Optimum design of switched reluctance motor based on direct instantaneous torque control
2015 18th International Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems (ICEMS), 2015This paper proposes a new optimum design method of switched reluctance motors (SRM) based on direct instantaneous torque control (DITC) algorithm. The total copper losses minimization of the motor has been investigated through adjusting of the stator pole arc and rotor pole arc in order to improve the efficiency of the motor.

Analysis in start-up performance of SRM based on direct instantaneous torque control
2011 International Conference on Electrical and Control Engineering, 2011The structure of Switched Reluctance Motor is simple, high reliability and efficiency and excellent speed adjusting performance, thus paid widespread attention in recent years. But its unique double salient poles structure leads to serious torque ripple.
