Optimum design of switched reluctance motor based on direct instantaneous torque control

This paper proposes a new optimum design method of switched reluctance motors (SRM) based on direct instantaneous torque control (DITC) algorithm. The total copper losses minimization of the motor has been investigated through adjusting of the stator pole arc and rotor pole arc in order to improve the efficiency of the motor.
