Direction‐of‐arrival estimation via coarray‐domain RELAX algorithm with source number estimation

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar & Navigation
A modified RELAX algorithm based on iterative coarray‐domain beamforming for fast source direction‐of‐arrival (DOA) estimation with fully augmentable sparse arrays is proposed.

Evolutionary approach for finding the atomic structure of steps on stable crystal surfaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The problem addressed here can be concisely formulated as follows: Given a stable surface orientation with a known reconstruction and given a direction in the plane of this surface, find the atomic structure of the steps oriented along that direction. We

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Direction Finding of ELF Emissions in Auroral Zone

open access: yesAntarctic Record, 1976
The observation of arrival direction for elliptically polarized ELF and VLF electromagnetic waves, based on a new method developed by TSURUDA and HAYASHI (1975), was carried out at Syowa Station in Antarctica from March, 1974 to January, 1975.

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.

PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS FOR DIRECTION-FINDING CIRCULAR ANTENNA ARRAY

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений России: Радиоэлектроника, 2018
This paper considers circular antenna arrays comprised of symmetrical dipole radiators applied in communication, navigation and monitoring systems. Despite their widespread use, a number of significant issues is underinvestigated.

Visual direction finding by fishes [PDF]

open access: yes
The use of visual orientation, in the absence of landmarks, for underwater direction finding exercises by fishes is reviewed. Celestial directional clues observed directly near the water surface or indirectly at an asymptatic depth are suggested as ...

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Сomparative analysis of two-channel angular discriminators under linear scanning of the antenna radiation pattern

open access: yesДоклады Белорусского государственного университета информатики и радиоэлектроники, 2019
The comparative analysis results of various types of discriminators operating under linear scanning of the radiation pattern, as well as the single-pulse direction finding discriminator using the comparison amplitude method are presented.
