Anomalous magnetic disaccommodation in yttrium iron garnet

Materials Letters, 1998
Abstract An alternative approach to account for the oxygen loss at sintering temperatures in YIG allows an explanation to the not yet elucidated accommodation effect observed in the magnetic disaccommodation spectrum of nominal stoichiometric samples below 130 K; i.e., the observed time increase of the initial permeability μ i after ...

On the Mechanism of Disaccommodation in Ferrites

Journal of the Physical Society of Japan, 1962
The dependence of the disaccommodation spectra on the density of cation vacancies has been investigated in the manganese- and nickel-iron-rich ferrites and the results compared with the dependence predicted by Iida (1) . It is found that his model is not applicable to the disaccommodation effect occurring at room temperature.

Magnetic Disaccommodation in Ferrous Zinc Ferrites

Physica Status Solidi (a), 1988
Magnetic disaccommodation in the temperature range 80K≧T≧420K, is investigated for nonstoichiometric zinc ferrites (ZnxFe3-x-ΔO4) as a function of the nominal composition (0 ≦ × ≦ 0.5) and the oxygen partial pressure during sintering stage (10−2 atm ≦ PO2 ≦ 10−7atm), directly related to the vacancy content Δ.

Disaccommodation measurements in amorphous wires

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1992
Abstract Stress dependent magnetic disaccommodation is studied for high and low magnetostrictive amorphous wires and ribbons. The results are interpreted considering the particular domain structure developed in amorphous wires during preparation.

Ion Diffusion and Disaccommodation in Ferrites

Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1968
In various mixed ferrites, the relationship between disaccommodations (DA) and cation vacancy densities was investigated, the latter being estimated from the diffusion coefficients of isotopes. The relaxation time of DA–I observed at approximately 250°C was in agreement with an extrapolated value from the cation diffusion at elevated temperatures ...

Automatic disaccommodation measuring system

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1987
Magnetic after effect measurement constitutes an advantageous procedure for the investigation of point defects giving considerable information about the crystal lattice dynamics. Unfortunately, most standard measuring methods involve tedious impedance bridges which are not suitable for systematic research.

Data processing for magnetic disaccommodation spectroscopy

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1989
The authors address the problems of analyzing experimental data obtained from magnetic disaccommodation measurements in order to extract information about the nature of the underlying phenomena. Some data processing methods commonly used in this type of investigation are reviewed, and novel techniques aimed at the optimization of the signal-to-noise ...

Limiting disproportionate disaccommodation in design for human variability

Ergonomics, 2013
In the design of artefacts, tasks and environments for human use, the body dimensions of the target population are a critical element in spatial optimisation of the design. This study examines how the choices designers make affect the ability of different user groups to safely and effectively interact with a designed artefact. Due to the variability in

A Method for Profiling Biometric Changes During Disaccommodation

Optometry and Vision Science, 2012
ABSTRACT Purpose. To demonstrate the application of low‐coherence reflectometry to the study of biometric changes during disaccommodation responses in human eyes after cessation of a near task and to evaluate the effect of contact lenses on low‐coherence reflectometry biometric measurements.

Magnetic disaccommodation in Sr doped magnetite

Le Journal de Physique IV, 1998
The relaxation of the initial permeability is measured in polycrystalline strontium doped magnetite with initial compositions SrO-nFe 2 O 3 , with n ranging between n=16 and n=122.34. The samples have been sintered at 1300° C in a reducing CO 2 atmosphere and rapidly quenched to provide the presence of crystal vacancies In the temperature range ...
