Contribution of N2O emissions to the atmosphere from Indian monsoonal estuaries [PDF]

open access: yesTellus: Series B, Chemical and Physical Meteorology, 2013
Estuaries are known to contribute a significant amount of nitrous oxide (N2O) to the atmosphere; however, the contribution from the Indian estuaries is unknown.

Xenon excimer emission from multicapillary discharges in direct current mode [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Microdischarges in xenon have been generated in a pressure range of 400–1013 mbar with a fixed flow rate of 100 sccm. These microdischarges are obtained from three metallic capillary tubes in series for excimer emission. Total discharge voltage is thrice

Dependence between high sea-level and high river discharge increases flood hazard in global deltas and estuaries

open access: yesEnvironmental Research Letters, 2018
When river and coastal floods coincide, their impacts are often worse than when they occur in isolation; such floods are examples of ‘compound events’. To better understand the impacts of these compound events, we require an improved understanding of the

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Bankfull values in gauge station cross sections of the Raba river – polish Carpathians [PDF]

open access: yesActa Scientiarum Polonorum. Formatio Circumiectus, 2017
This paper presents comparison of differents methods of bankfull discharge calculation. The methods used were: Gauckler-Manning [Chow 1959], Williams [1978], Wolman and Leopold [Leopold et al. 1964], Hey and Thorne [Thorne et al. 1997]. Calculations were

Runoff variations in the Yangtze River Basin and sub-basins based on GRACE, hydrological models, and in-situ data

open access: yesEarth and Planetary Physics, 2022
Water budget closure is a method used to study the balance of basin water storage and the dynamics of relevant hydrological components (e.g., precipitation, evapotranspiration, and runoff).

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.
