An Experimental High‐Throughput Approach for the Screening of Hard Magnet Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An entire workflow for the high‐throughput characterization and analysis of compositionally graded magnetic films is presented. Characterization protocols, data management tools and data analysis approaches are illustrated with test case Sm(Fe, V)12 based films.

In-situ S/TEM investigations of deformation and damage mechanisms in neutron-irradiated EUROFER97

open access: yesPhilosophical Magazine Letters
In this work, we employed in-situ S/TEM techniques to investigate deformation and damage mechanisms in neutron-irradiated reduced-activation ferritic/martensitic (RAFM) EUROFER97 steel subjected to a dose of 15 dpa at 330 °C.

Fast algorithms for evaluating the stress field of dislocation lines in anisotropic elastic media

open access: yes, 2017
In dislocation dynamics (DD) simulations, the most computationally intensive step is the evaluation of the elastic interaction forces among dislocation ensembles.

In Situ Constructed Magnetic Core‐Shell Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Framework‐on‐Metal–Organic Framework Structure: an Efficient Catalyst for Peroxymonosulfate Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...

The Effect of He on the Evolution of Radiation-Induced Dislocation Loops near W/Cu Interface

open access: yesMetals
In the current work, the distribution behaviors of irradiation-induced dislocation loops near the W-Cu interface (contains a thin W2C transition layer) under self-interstitial atom diffusion-dominated conditions were investigated based on the comparative

Interaction energy of interface dislocation loops in piezoelectric bi-crystals

open access: yesTheoretical and Applied Mechanics Letters, 2017
Interface dislocations may dramatically change the electric properties, such as polarization, of the piezoelectric crystals. In this paper, we study the linear interactions of two interface dislocation loops with arbitrary shape in generally anisotropic ...

Topological Defects in Spin Density Waves

open access: yes, 2000
The rich order parameter of Spin Density Waves allows for unusual object of a complex topological nature: a half-integer dislocation combined with a semi-vortex of a staggered magnetization. It becomes energetically preferable to ordinary dislocation due

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Biodegradable and Recyclable Luminescent Mixed‐Matrix‐Membranes, Hydrogels, and Cryogels based on Nanoscale Metal‐Organic Frameworks and Biopolymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...

Perfectly conducting channel on the dark surface of weak topological insulators

open access: yes, 2013
A weak topological insulator (WTI) bears, generally, an even number of Dirac cones on its surface; they are susceptible of doubling, while on the surface of a certain orientation it shows no Dirac cone.
