Structural Phase Transformation of Rail Steel in Compression
The analysis of structure and defective substructure of rail steel in uniaxial compression to a degree of 50% is carried out. It is revealed that cold hardening has a multi-stage character and is accompanied by fragmentations of pearlite grains which is ...

Modelos discretos de dislocaciones en redes cristalinas: formulación, análisis y aplicaciones [PDF]
Real crystal lattices are not perfect. They have defects such as dislocations, vacancies, and cracks that control the mechanical properties of materials, including crystal plasticity, creep, fatigue, ductility, brittleness, hardness and friction ...

Phase critical point densities in planar isotropic random waves
The densities of critical points of phase (extrema and saddles), which play an important role in the theory of phase singularities (wave dislocations) in two dimensions, are calculated in isotropic plane wave superpositions.

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Elbow Dislocation with Ipsilateral Radial Shaft Fracture – A Case Report
Background Posterior dislocation of the elbow associated to a radial shaft fracture is a rare lesion, its treatment is difficult and complicated, and the indications, surgical options, and timing of surgery may vary.

The Effect of Rolling Texture on the Plastic Deformation of Nano-Gradient Aluminum
Creating alloys with a gradient microstructure in grain size has been shown to be a potential method to resolve the trade-off dilemma between strength and ductility.
