Repulsion of phase-velocity dispersion curves and the nature of plate vibrations

open access: yes, 1994
The Lamb waves propagating in an elastic plate in vacuo generate compressional (L) and shear type (T) plate vibrations which are coupled due to the boundary conditions.

Calculation of anharmonic OH phonon dispersion curves for the Mg (OH)2 crystal [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Anharmonic OH phonon dispersion curves have been calculated for the Mg (OH) 2 crystal. A crystal Hamiltonian was set up for the vibrational problem, where the coordinates consists of the bond lengths of two hydroxide ions in the central unit cell.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

CALCULATION OF DISPERSION CURVES FOR ARBITRARY WAVEGUIDES USING FINITE ELEMENT METHOD

open access: yes, 2014
Dispersion curves for waveguide structures are an important prerequisite for the implementation of guided wave-based nondestructive evaluation (NDE) approach.

TORSIONAL WAVE SCATTERING IN TWO-LAYER PIPE WITH ACCOUNT FOR CONTACT RIGIDITY

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений России: Радиоэлектроника, 2018
The purpose of the paper is to study the wave propagation in a two-layer pipe, taking into account the rigidity of the contact between its layers. It is considered by solving the equation of motion for the vector and scalar potentials.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Surface phonon dispersion curves in GaAs(110) and Ge(111)2 × 1: a critical comparison

open access: yes, 1991
We compare the surface phonon dispersion curves of GaAs(110) and Ge(111)2 x 1 as calculated by the Bond Charge Model. The atomic masses, bulk force constants and crystallography of the topmost layer are nearly equal, still the substrate orientation and ...

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

New Torsional Surface Elastic Waves in Cylindrical Metamaterial Waveguides for Sensing Applications

open access: yesSensors
In this paper, we demonstrate that torsional surface elastic waves can propagate along the curved surface of a metamaterial elastic rod (cylinder) embedded in a conventional elastic medium.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.
