Nov način precizne stabilizacije geodetskih točk za opazovanje premikov : New Method of Precision Stabilisation of Geodetic Points for Displacement Observation [PDF]

open access: yesGeodetski Vestnik, 2005
An optimal stabilisation of geodetic points is undeniably an important factor when determining displacements. According to the size of the anticipated displacements a proper stabilisation accuracy must be provided.

Application of support vector machine in geodesy for the classification of vertical displacements

open access: yesComputer Assisted Methods in Engineering and Science, 2017
The article presents basic rules for constructing and training neural networks, called the Support Vector Machine technique. SVM networks can mainly be used for solving tasks of classification of linearly and nonlinearly separable data and regression as

Two-Generator Free Kleinian Groups and Hyperbolic Displacements

open access: yes, 2014
The $\log 3$ Theorem, proved by Culler and Shalen, states that every point in the hyperbolic 3-space is moved a distance at least $\log 3$ by one of the non-commuting isometries $\xi$ or $\eta$ provided that $\xi$ and $\eta$ generate a torsion-free ...

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Ferro-lattice-distortions and charge fluctuations in superconducting LaO$_{1-x}$F$_{x}$BiS$_{2}$

open access: yes, 2016
Competing ferroelectric and charge density wave phases have been proposed to be present in the electron-phonon coupled LaO$_{1-x}$F$_{x}$BiS$_{2}$ superconductor.

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.

Charge-screening role of $c$-axis atomic displacements in YBa$_2$Cu$_3$O$_{6+x}$ and related superconductors

open access: yes, 2016
The importance of charge reservoir layers for supplying holes to the CuO$_2$ planes of cuprate superconductors has long been recognized. Less attention has been paid to the screening of the charge transfer by the intervening ionic layers. We address this

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Geostatistical Investigations of Displacements on the Basis of Data from the Geodetic Monitoring of a Hydrotechnical Object

open access: yesStudia Geotechnica et Mechanica, 2017
Geostatistical methods make the analysis of measurement data possible. This article presents the problems directed towards the use of geostatistics in spatial analysis of displacements based on geodetic monitoring.
