Suspected Adverse Drug Reactions Related to Breast Cancer Chemotherapy: Disproportionality Analysis of the Brazilian Spontaneous Reporting System

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2019
Spontaneous reporting systems may generate a large volume of information in real world conditions with a relatively low cost. Disproportionality measures are useful to indicate and quantify unexpected safety issues associated with a given drug-event pair

Analysis of disproportionation process of trifluoroethylene mixtures

open access: yesJournal of Loss Prevention in the Process Industries, 2018
Abstract Trifluoroethylene (HFO-1123) and its mixtures are useful as the next generation refrigerants because their global warming potential (GWP) are lower than that of those ordinarily used. HFO-1123, however, has the potential to disproportionate explosively as does tetrafluoroethylene.

Pharmacological Evaluation of Signals of Disproportionality Reporting Related to Adverse Reactions to Antiepileptic Cannabidiol in VigiBase

open access: yesPharmaceuticals, 2023
Cannabidiol is the first cannabis-derived drug approved for the treatment of Lennox–Gastaut syndrome, Dravet syndrome, and Tuberous Sclerosis Complex. In the current study, we performed a descriptive analysis followed by a disproportionality analysis of ...

The reporting of disproportionality analysis in pharmacovigilance: spotlight on the READUS-PV guideline

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology
Disproportionality analyses are the most-commonly used study design used in the post-marketing phase to detect suspected adverse drug reactions in individual case safety reports.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Using disproportionality analysis to explore the association between periostitis and triazole antifungals in the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System Database

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
Though triazole antifungals are the first choice for preventing and treating invasive fungal infections, periostitis caused by voriconazole has been described in emerging case reports; however, no studies exist on this association in real-world clinical ...
