A method for analyzing service survivability of an information system on a mobile platform under cascading disruptions

open access: yesТехнічна інженерія
The article examines the problem of analyzing the survivability of services in an information system deployed on a mobile platform under cascading disruptions. The relevance of this problem is driven by the dynamic availability of computing, network, and

Supply Chain Disruptions Propagation Caused by Criminal Acts

open access: yesJournal of Applied Research and Technology, 2014
AbstractTo understand disruptions and their propagation along the supply chains is becoming critical for designing competitive global supply chains operating in emerging economies. It leads to economic damages to every organization involved in a supply chain, but it also decreases national logistics competitiveness.

Decoding the dynamic extracellular matrix in cancer—3D models and bioscaffolds rewire the rules of tumor progression

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cancer progression is regulated by the dynamic matrix code of the tumor microenvironment, which influences cellular behavior and disease development. Importantly, matrix remodeling in three‐dimensional cancer models more accurately reflects in vivo conditions compared to conventional two‐dimensional systems.

A Pressure Wave-Based Approach for Assessing Evolving Disruption Risks in Cluster Supply Chain Under Bidirectional Propagation

open access: yesIEEE Access
Supply chain (SC) disruption risk assessment has attracted extensive attention, yet important gaps remain. Existing studies typically examine either forward or backward propagation, whereas in reality disruptions can spread simultaneously in both ...

The Effect of Contact Angle on Dynamics of Dry Spots Spreading in a Horizontal Layer of Liquid at Local Heating

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2015
The effect of equilibrium contact angle on dynamics of dry spot spreading at disruption of a horizontal water layer heated locally from the substrate was studied using the high-speed Schlieren technique.

Microbiome‐blood–brain barrier interactions in aging — mechanisms and therapeutic potential

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Aging reshapes the gut microbiome (↓SCFA‐producing commensals; ↑pro‐inflammatory outputs), shifting circulating metabolites (↓SCFAs; ↑LPS, ↑TMAO, ↑PAA) that act at the BBB to increase nonspecific transcytosis, alter transport, and promote astrocyte reactivity, heightening brain vulnerability.

Risk propagation in heterogeneous supply-chain networks using a SEIS-based multi-state disruption model

open access: yesFrontiers in Sustainability
IntroductionTransport and supply chain systems are composed of interconnected components, making them susceptible to disruptions that affect system stability and resilience.

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

Building network-level resilience to resource disruption from flooding: Case studies from the Shetland Islands and Hurricane Sandy

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2016
Flood events, at a range of scales, have led to disruption of resources such as water, food, materials and goods are vital to the safety, health and livelihoods of individuals and communities.
