Factor XIII Deficiency: A Rare Cause of Hydrocephalus in Infancy
Xx. ABSTRACT Factor XIII deficiency is a very rare bleeding disorder that can cause serious bleeding problems, especially in infants. We describe a 5‐month‐old girl who came in with a rapidly increasing head size and a bulging fontanelle. She had no fever or injury. Piperacillin Sodium and Tazobactam Sodium‐Induced Neutropenia and Thrombocytopenia: A Case Report
ABSTRACT Piperacillin sodium/tazobactam sodium (PIP‐TAZ) is a commonly used antibiotic for various infections. While generally well‐tolerated, it has been associated with rare cases of neutropenia and thrombocytopenia. This case report highlights the potential for PIP‐TAZ to cause these adverse effects, emphasizing the importance of vigilant monitoring

Aseptic Meningitis as First Presentation of Acute Myeloid Leukemia With Normal Cell Blood Count
ABSTRACT Aseptic meningitis can be the initial manifestation of acute myeloid leukemia (AML), even when the complete blood count (CBC) is normal. A single cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analysis for malignant cells may be insufficient and could delay diagnosis. Therefore, infections, collagen vascular diseases, and malignancies—particularly leukemias—should

Spinal Epidural Hematoma After Accidental Epidural Catheter Removal in a Patient With Sepsis
ABSTRACT We present a case of spinal epidural hematoma after accidental epidural catheter removal. The findings highlight that a blood clot might have formed at the tip of the epidural catheter left without continuous administration. When accidental epidural catheter removal occurred, pulling of the blood clot might induce spinal epidural hematoma.
