Strength through diversity: how cancers thrive when clones cooperate
Intratumor heterogeneity can offer direct benefits to the tumor through cooperation between different clones. In this review, Kuiken et al. discuss existing evidence for clonal cooperativity to identify overarching principles, and highlight how novel technological developments could address remaining open questions.

Large-Scale Bulk Motions Complicate the Hubble Diagram
We investigate the extent to which correlated distortions of the luminosity distance-redshift relation due to large-scale bulk flows limit the precision with which cosmological parameters can be measured.

Relationships between some distance-based topological indices
The Harary index (HI), the average distance (AD), the Wiener polarity index (WPI) and the connective eccentricity index (CEI) are distance-based graph invariants, some of which found applications in chemistry. We investigate the relationship between HI, AD, and CEI, and between WPI, AD, and CEI.

Gamma-ray bursts as X-ray depth-gauges of the Universe
We discuss the X-ray flux of gamma-ray burst afterglows at redshifts in the range 3-30, including the effects of the intergalactic He II absorption. We point out that strong X-ray lines may form locally in burst afterglows starting minutes after the ...

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...
