Early‐life high‐fat diet exposure increases Achilles tendon stiffness and induces transcriptomic alterations

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

Distorting the volcano

open access: yesFinite Fields and Their Applications, 2018
Volcanoes of ℓ–isogenies of elliptic curves are a special case of graphs with a cycle called crater. In this paper, given an elliptic curve E of a volcano of ℓ–isogenies, we present a condition over an endomorphism ϕ of E in order to determine which ℓ–isogenies of E are non-descending.

Densification and Shape Distortion of the Al-Cu-Mg Pre-alloyed Powder Compact in Supersolidus Liquid Phase Sintering Process

open access: yesIranian Journal of Materials Science and Engineering, 2020
In this research, densification and shape distortion of the Al-Cu-Mg (Al2024) pre-alloyed powder compact in the supersolidus liquid phase sintering process (SLPS) were investigated. The effect of Sn on the sintering process was also studied.
