Distributed State Estimation for Bilinear Power System Models Based on Weighted Least Absolute Value
Accurate, scalable, and outlier-robust state estimation (SE) is critical for large AC power systems with mixed SCADA and PMU measurements. This paper proposes D-BSE-L1, a distributed robust state estimator for the bilinear AC model.

Likelihood Consensus and Its Application to Distributed Particle Filtering
We consider distributed state estimation in a wireless sensor network without a fusion center. Each sensor performs a global estimation task---based on the past and current measurements of all sensors---using only local processing and local ...

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

k-medoids-Trust-Based Distributed H∞ Fusion Filtering Method [PDF]
To address the issues during system state estimation in the presence of node failures or anomalies in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), a k-medoids-trust-based distributed H∞ fusion filtering method is proposed to improve the robustness and accuracy of ...

Power Systems Data Fusion based on Belief Propagation
The increasing complexity of the power grid, due to higher penetration of distributed resources and the growing availability of interconnected, distributed metering devices re- quires novel tools for providing a unified and consistent view of the system.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Pure state estimation and the characterization of entanglement
A connection between the state estimation problem and the separability problem is noticed and exploited to find efficient numerical algorithms to solve the first one.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...
