Disturbance decoupled functional observers

Summary: If a state observer does not exist, it is possible to design a functional observer. Principally, this is also true for systems with unknown inputs (termed as disturbances). Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of disturbance decoupled functional observers for linear time-invariant systems are provided.

Disturbance observers for constant disturbances

The parameterization of linear disturbance observers for constant disturbances has been studied in this paper. By using the states and inputs of the system as variables, the parameterization under constant disturbances was obtained in frequency domain, the validity of the disturbance observer was proofed by simulation.
