Noise Reduction Disturbance Observer for Disturbance Attenuation and Noise Suppression
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2017In most research works on the disturbance observer (DOB)-based controller, stability conditions are only sufficient and not effective for handling large uncertainties. To deal with large uncertainties, a necessary and sufficient condition for robust stability has been recently provided by utilizing a novel design technique for the Q -filter. Although

Integral action — A disturbance observer approach
2003 European Control Conference (ECC), 2003Integral action is required in many controllers in order to solve real world problems. Modeling errors and disturbances are examples of issues that can be dealt with by using controllers with integral action. This paper explores the use of disturbance observers to introduce integral action into an output feedback controller. In particular, the proposed

An observer with controller to detect and reject disturbances
International Journal of Control, 2013In this paper, a novel states observer is designed. This observer not only estimates the states, but also detects the disturbances by creating estimated signals. Then, both the observed states and detected disturbances are used in a control law to reject the disturbances, avoiding the requirement to know the states and disturbances.

Fuzzy controllers with/without disturbance observer
2016 13th International Conference on Ubiquitous Robots and Ambient Intelligence (URAI), 2016A so-called lumped disturbance is considered in the T-S fuzzy model of the system to be controlled. Under the circumstances, this paper proposes two controllers, in which one is designed only on the basis of the control system stability, and the other is designed on the basis of both the control system stability and a proposed disturbance observer ...

Friction Compensation Via Disturbance Observer
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1991Abstract For the translational movement of a robot arm, which is disturbed by a very strong frictional force, a method is developed to achieve an accurate position control. Therefore, the idealized translar tional degree of freedom, which is represented by a simple second order model, is used as a reference model to the read process.

FURTHER OBSERVATIONS ON HOMEOSTATIC DISTURBANCE IN ACRODYNIA
Pediatrics, 1957On the basis of data obtained from four cases of acrodynia, it was found that deficits of total body chloride and water were present. Normal concentrations of electrolytes and acid-base balance were, for the most part, preserved while the volumes of the fluid compartments were reduced.

Compound Disturbance Observer for Flight Simulator
2012This paper presents estimation of disturbance to create a compound disturbance observer based on sliding modes. Disturbance observer(DOB) and sliding mode control are both effective methods in motion control. However, DOB is confined to nonlinear disturbance while sliding mode control(SMC) is limited by chattering phenomenon.

Observations on the use of Tridione in Disturbed Psychotics
Journal of Mental Science, 1948Tridione (Abbott) is 3.5.5-Trimethyloxazolidine-2, 4-dione, and has been demonstrated clinically to have an inhibitory effect on petit mal, myoclonic and psychomotor seizures in epilepsy. Gibbs, Gibbs and Lennox first demonstrated a similarity between the cortical dysrhythmias in certain cases of schizophrenia and those of psychomotor epilepsy, whilst ...

Suppression of effects of nonlinearities by disturbance observers
Proceedings of the 2004 American Control Conference, 2004In this paper, the application of disturbance observers to suppress chaotic behavior in a class of single-input single-output (SISO) nonlinear systems is studied. A nonlinear system in this class has the property that its output is equal to the summation of the output of a stable SISO linear time-invariant system and a bounded disturbance.
