Summary The mint family (Lamiaceae) is well documented as a rich source of terpene natural products. More than 200 diterpene skeletons have been reported from mints, but biosynthetic pathways are known for just a few of these. We crossreferenced chemotaxonomic data with publicly available transcriptomes to select common selfheal (Prunella vulgaris) and

Ent-kaurane diterpenoids and other constituents from the stem of Xylopia laevigata (Annonaceae)
Phytochemical investigation of the hexane extract from the stem of Xylopia laevigata led to the isolation of the ent-kaurane diterpenoids, ent-kaur-16-en-19-oic acid, 4-epi-kaurenic acid, ent-16β-hydroxy-17-acetoxy-kauran-19-al, ent-3β-hydroxy-kaur-16-en-

Significance Statement Studies on the effect of hybridization on plant chemistry have mainly been conducted with crop plants and artificially created hybrids, and the few studies that have analyzed naturally occurring hybrids have either examined only a small number of plants and/or only a small number of metabolites.

A new ent-kaurane diterpene from Isodon henryi
One new ent-Kaurane diterpenoid (1) was isolated from the ethyl acetate fraction of Isodon henryi. Along with ten diterpenoids (2–11) were isolated from this plant for the first time, including six 7,20-epoxy diterpenoids, three enmenol-type diterpenoids and one 6,7-seco-ent-kaurene diterpenoid.

Effects of Kaurane Diterpene Derivatives on Germination and Growth of Lactuca sativa Seedlings
Kaurenoic and grandiflorenic acid, isolated from Wedelia paludosa (Asteraceae), some derivatives from these acids (alcohols, esters, amides, lactones, oximes) and other naturally occurring kaurane diterpenes were tested for their action on the growth of radical and shoot of Lactuca sativa. Gibberellic acid, GA 3

Henrin A: A New Anti-HIV Ent-Kaurane Diterpene from Pteris henryi [PDF]
Henrin A (1), a new ent-kaurane diterpene, was isolated from the leaves of Pteris henryi. The chemical structure was elucidated by analysis of the spectroscopic data including one-dimensional (1D) and two-dimensional (2D) NMR spectra, and was further confirmed by X-ray crystallographic analysis.

A new ent-kaurane diterpene from Euphorbia stracheyi Boiss [PDF]
The chemical investigation of whole plants Euphorbia stracheyi Boiss from China led to the isolation of one new ent-kaurane diterpene, ent-Kaurane-16β,17,19-triol-3-one (1), along with three known ent-kaurane diterpenoids (2–4) as ent-Kaurane-3α,16β,17-triol (2),ent-16S,17-dihydroxy-kaurane-3-one (3) and ent-3S,16S,17-trihydroxy-kaurane-2-one (4 ...
