Syntheses and Structures of Water‐Soluble Model Complexes Related to the Active Site of Molybdenum and Tungsten‐Dependent Oxidoreductases

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, Volume 652, Issue 1, January 6, 2026.
Complex salts with potassium counter cations and bisdithiolene oxido molybdate or tungstate anions are water tolerant and soluble in purely aqueous medium. Four different synthetic routes to water‐soluble complexes of the type K2[MOx(dt)2] (M = Mo, W; dt = ene‐1,2‐dithiolate, x = 1, 2) applicable to different ligand precursors are presented.

Elucidation of Sulforaphane‐Mediated Effects on the Cellular Human Metabolome Using Metabolic Profiling

open access: yesMolecular Nutrition &Food Research, Volume 70, Issue 1, January 2026.
Sulforaphane (SFN) is an isothiocyanate derived from broccoli and is related to various health‐promoting effects. By using metabolic profiling on the hepatoblastoma cell line HepG2 several effects on pathways such as TCA cycle, urea cycle and redox metabolism through SFN were identified.

A one-dimensional coordination polymer, catena-poly[[[[N-ethyl-N-(pyridin-4-ylmethyl)dithiocarbamato-κ2 S,S′]zinc(II)]-μ2-N-ethyl-N-(pyridin-4-ylmethyl)dithiocarbamato-κ3 S,S′:N] 4-methylpyridine hemisolvate] [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The title compound, {[Zn(C9H11N2S2)2]·0.5C6H7N} n , comprises two independent, but chemically similar, Zn[S2CN(Et)CH2py]2 residues and a 4-methylpyridine solvent molecule in the asymmetric unit.

Applications of N─F─Based Reagents in the Synthesis of Organochalcogen Compounds

open access: yesAsian Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 14, Issue 12, December 2025.
Herein, we provide a comprehensive review of recent advances in synthetic strategies to access organochalcogen‐decorated compounds using N─F reagents as efficient oxidants for converting chalcogen–chalcogen bonds into electrophilic chalcogen‐based species.

Tricyclic flavonoids with 1,3-dithiolium substructure

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2012
The synthesis of new 3-dithiocarbamic flavonoids has been accomplished by the reaction of the corresponding 2-hydroxyaryl dithiocarbamates with aminals. These flavonoids were obtained as a mixture of diastereoisomers, the anti isomer being the major one.

Broccoli or Sulforaphane:Is It the Source or Dose That Matters? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
There is robust epidemiological evidence for the beneficial effects of broccoli consumption on health, many of them clearly mediated by the isothiocyanate sulforaphane.

Soil and water pollution in a banana production region in tropical Mexico [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The effects of abundant Mancozeb (Mn, Zn— bisdithiocarbamate) applications (2.5 kg ha-1week-1 for 10 years) on soil and surface-, subsurface- and groundwater pollution were monitored in a banana production region of tropical Mexico.
