AbstractA synthetic approach to a variety of monomeric Vinca alkaloids is described. The sequence involves, among its crucial phases, the generation of appropriate nine‐membered ring intermediates which are then elaborated via a transannular cyclization approach to the desired natural products.

SUMMARY The major histocompatibility system of the dog (DL-A) was studied in more detail by immunogenetical methods. Suggestive evidence for the existence of two closely linked DL-A (sub)loci was found. The definition of three alleles at the first sublocus was clear for both mongrel and beagle populations.

SPARQL-DL: SPARQL Query for OWL-DL.

There are many query languages (QLs) that can be used to query RDF and OWL ontologies but neither type is satisfactory for querying OWL-DL ontologies. RDF-based QLs (RDQL, SeRQL, SPARQL) are harder to give a semantics w.r.t. OWL-DL and are more powerful than what OWL-DL reasoners can provide.
