Difficulty in inserting left double-lumen endobronchial tubes at the cricoid level in small-statured women: A retrospective study

open access: yesIndian Journal of Anaesthesia, 2017
Background and Aims: Left double-lumen endobronchial tube (DLT) sizes are selected using tracheal diameters and left mainstem bronchial diameters (LMBDs) determined from chest radiographs or computed tomography (CT) scans.

Videolaryngoscopes for placement of double lumen tubes: Is it time to say goodbye to direct view?

open access: yesSaudi Journal of Anaesthesia, 2016
The advances in thoracic procedures require optimum lung separation to provide adequate room for surgical access. This can be achieved using either a double-lumen tube (DLT) or a bronchial blocker (BB).

Dlt zeta functions

open access: yes, 2022
Xu (2016) defines the dlt motivic zeta function associated to a regular function f on a smooth variety X over a field of characteristic zero. This is an adaptation of the classical motivic zeta function that was introduced by Denef and Loeser (1998).

C4 photosynthetic anatomy is associated with higher leaf hydraulic conductance and capacitance in Alloteropsis semialata

open access: yesNew Phytologist, EarlyView.
Bulk leaf capacitance (Cbulk) in relation to bundle sheath area (BSA) and leaf dimensions in Alloteropsis semialata plants differing in photosynthetic type (C3, C3–C4 or C4) and ploidy level (2x, 6x or 12x). Summary The evolution of C4 photosynthesis requires biochemical innovations to be coordinated with anatomical modifications.
